bad blogger!

i can't believe that it's been 3 weeks since i've blogged! there isn't much the write about i guess. well, that's not exactly true but somethings aren't worth blogging about. lol. to sum up the last 3 weeks - i got a really bad case of the stomach flu a couple of days before Christmas that lasted about a week. the new year came but it didn't seem the same without inky and seeing some of my family members. work has been so crazy and busy for the last 3 weeks that somedays i flirt with the idea of quitting. mom had another seizure but seems to be ok now. and i'm STILL Christmas shopping/delivering! ha ha ha

although the new year got off to a rocky start, it is looking up. :) two days ago, i sent an email to my gf/co-worker mona that ali edwards is becoming one of my favs and that she's going to be having 3 workshops and a crop at young play memories, the world's largest privately owned scrapbooking store in tracy california. i asked her if she knew where tracy was. i also told her that i that i would go if it was cheap enough (even just fly in and fly out to save on hotel) but if she wanted to go then i would REALLY think about it. mona took it one step further and an hour later, sent me an email with air fare prices, a description of the city, and a description of a nearby hotel! she's so AMAZING like that. anyway, that was only yesterday. this morning, she emailed me more information like car rental and hotel rates! we were going to talk about it over lunch but didn't have a chance. late in the afternoon, she called me and we discussed our itnerary options. tbh, she did thought of them all and called me with the options. i had just waken up from a nap and was still half asleep. i groggily listened to them trying to make sense of it all since she talks really fast! lol! as she was talking, i started to wak up more and more, getting more excited that we actually might be doing this. after we discussed a few things, the next thing i know we were registered for the classes and she booked our flight! :)

i'm really excited because we're flying in to san fran and we'll have almost a day to shop. i haven't been there in 10+ years but hope to get back there one day to spend more time. i would like to stay longer but have other trips planned later in the year so will have to save up for them. (in fact, i'm flying into vegas the next weekend to see xtina in concert! but my older sis is treating me and my other sister to that one. the one i'm really saving for is the creative escape weekend. THAT requires some serious saving!!!)
